Shame is sneaky and its effects can be so damaging. Shame is ultimately an attack on our identity. Shame is born from accusations from other people, ourselves, or the enemy of our souls not just on what we have done, but really on who we are. Jesus went to GREAT LENGTHS to remove our shame. Covering our shame has been a priority for God since the Garden. If it's that important to God, we can and should start taking steps to moving beyond shame and walk confidently in our identity as children of God.
